fuel problems

I just purchased a 1987 gmc jimmy two weeks ago. And recently when have gone to the gas station and put gas in the tank, the truck doesnt start up.The starter works great , but im not getting fuel to the engine. The last two times this has happened ive wiggled the fuel line and the fuel filter and then it starts up. If anyone could help that would be great

Change the filter...I bet it is clogged.
