Replacing the gas tank and want to go ahead and thrown a new sending unit and pump in there. What is the best brand to get? I see O'Reilley's has Spectra complete assembly, but am not familiar with the brand. ABC Auto looks to have AC delco parts and pieces, but it would be nice to buy the whole assembly. What have yall used in the past with good results? Thanks for the help.

spectra premium is a huge oem supplier .

as for pump lots of guys here like the ac/delco .

have you checked rockauto prices ? if you can wait a few extra days you almost cant beat them on stuff. they have been getting lots of my money ..... check our vendor section there is always a discount code in there .

Thanks for the reply sweetk30, I will check out Rockauto.

Second that option. Most times you can get the same partnumber at half the price.

Well, I'm just going through all this. Bought all of my stuff off of Amazon originally.

Got two Spectra tanks and both were hammered from transportation. Went to O'Reilly's and asked if they could get close to the pricing on Amazon ($99). Got it for around $110 and it looked to be in much better condition! And I didn't need to wait.

Pump:
Right now I'm on the Delphi pump and assembly all in one off of Amazon ($99). I've had some problems with truck not starting, but I think we've narrowed it down to my electrical connector to the pump. I've redone the connection and so far, so good. Most have recommended the Delphi as a great replacement. I'm still evaluating.

Unfortunately, the price has spiked up from a few weeks ago. It's now at $167 (for some reason)....

I also got new tank straps from Spectra and then took some roofing material to create the strap cushions and top of tank cushions.

I just ordered the Delphi all in one assembly from RockAuto. I wish it was back down to $99 instead of $152, oh well it was cheaper than the local parts house by $50.

When I ordered the tank, I ordered the cushion kit and it was nothing more than roofing paper already cut. Oh well, live and learn.

Thanks for the help guys!

I just had a delphi pump die after 6 months in my 93 sub and my buddy had one die in a week in his 04 impala. Not a huge fan of their latest parts.

I do have a Bosch pump sitting in my back seat just in case. If my Delphi goes out, I'll try the Bosch. But for now, it's been running pretty good so may return the Bosch if continues to run well......
