I busted the fuel pump this weekend. Motor was twisting pretty good and i guess it hit the frame rail. Now its weeping fuel when the truck runs. I was going to bypass the stock pump and use a electric inside the frame rail.

What is the stock pump putting out to the IP? PSI wise? I was thinking less than 10 psi. All it is doing is bring the fuel up from the tank and to the IP. Thoughts?

I would be concerned with why the engine twisted enough to hit the pump on the frame. Are the engine mounts shot?

I got an electric lift pump off a hummer h1 with the 6.5td. It is supposed to put out ~12-14psi. I did my researching and was finding people talking about performance gains by bumping their pressures up to around 15psi, but if you went too high, over 20, then you started having IP issues. Havent gotten mine going yet, got a whole slew of mods in the works, but I got the fuel system all plumbed in this past weekend.

I have measured tons of 6.5 lift pumps. Most seem to be 12psi. I wouldn't hesitate to run one. In fact I have one on the shelf when the crewcab gets on the road.

That should work just fine. How was Morris? Where's the pics?

Morris was good. Not too wet, but wet enough that we had to beat on them pretty good to make it up some stuff. No pics, but ill try to get some links up to some videos this evening.
