Fuel pump fuse

Anybody have any idea why I've blown the fuse for my fuel pump a couple times. Last time was not a good spot, axle deep in mud. It's an 87 K5.

Chances are quite good you have a small break or a spot where the insulation has rubbed off the power wire. I'd double check the wiring especially back near the tank. Seen quite a few of these.

Like capt. said I would check the wiring for a bare spot.
