Fuel pump inlet hose?

Need some quick help guys. Working on a neighbors 1984 K10 with a quadrajet and a 305 motor.

Is the larger hose on the fuel pump the inlet from the fuel tank? I wanna use a remote reservoir to feed it since the truck hasnt run in years.

I am assuming the smaller little hose is just a return, but they both are attacched to the frame rail headed back to the gas tank.

The 3/8" (larger hose) is the fuel supply and the smaller hose is the vapor hose back to the tank.
