I bought a fuel pump pulsator as I was buying everything else along with a new tank. The LMC Truck catalog says this unit eliminates vibration and noise. The old sending unit assembly had a rubber coupling in place of the pulsator. Is it worthwhile putting the pulsator in, or should I leave it out? Thanks.

FWIW, my fuel pump is fairly noisy and I installed it as the original came out. Mines a higher pressure Cadillac one, but the noise level has been commented on by people who I didn't mention it to.

I don't think it's loud inside the truck, but you can hear the higher pitched whine when you stand outside of the truck. Easy to tell if it's working when you turn the key though!
