my engine is mildly built, i bought a fuel pump from brian at tbi chips and it failed and its taken over a week to get a new one my question is would a tpi pump be sufficient, i ask because that is readily available everywhere. the pump brian sold me is a 255liter pump blah blah blah dont really know much about performance work i thought i would give it a try and so far i will be leaving anything else i have/get alone.
my system has 454 injectors and a 18psi regulator spring.

I like to use a pump from a 96 vortec truck. They move a little more volume and a better design than the earlier TPI pumps although they are a little noisier. Delco # FE0114. I believe they are rated at 45 GPH @ 60psi so it will do just fine at 18psi.

Given that TPI runs 22lbs/hr through 8 injectors at 45PSI, I would think the pump would work fine for other applications.

ok my current pump is being warrantied but when/if it fails im going that route because im not waiting a week or more everytime something breaks. i built my truck so it uses alot of available parts i dont want to mail order crap everytime stuff fails

Here are a few part numbers and specs I picked up, if anybody cares.

AC Delco #EP241 40gph @65-75psi ’92 Z28 Camero w/350 TPI motor

AC Delco #EP381 50-60gph @ 65-75psi vortec motors
I went with the 381, not going to be here till next week though. We will see how it goes.
