fuel pump replacement

so im replacing fuel pump on my 87. im only replacing the pump not the whole sending unit assembly. so the old pump has this black rubber sleeve. its a aftermarket junk pump. im replacing it with an ac delco I just got. the new delco pump didn't come with the rubber sleeve, so my question is do I need to put the rubber sleeve on the new delco pump.

at the bottom of pump @ screen ?

around the pump body ? anti rattle device if so .

or on the tube from the pump to the sender line ?

bottom is a anti rattle device . and always use new good quality rubber hose on the pump to sender.

the one that goes around the body Im pretty sure that I need to put it on the ac delco one even thought it didn't come with one

Not positive which rubber you are talking about, but the 2-3" section of rubber hose is SPECIAL HOSE. You can't get just standard fuel line. You need some crazy special submersible rated hose.

Hopefully 4x4high chimes in. It should have come with your pump. My new delco came with whatever i needed.
