Ok so I have an 88 k5 with the tbi and have ran into a strange problem, ok about to head home from work, turn the key and nothing, so went through the steps and checked fuses ect. Listened for the fuel pump to kick on and nothing so I jump it from the relay and it starts up so I unhook it from tbt relay and it does.. Only will run from jumped off the relay, so I rig it up and make it home no problem, so when I get home unhook it from the relay and it says running so I turn it off and try to restart it and it starts no problem, so I decided to shut it off and turn it back on and it doesn't start.. Same problem as before But will run rigged off the relay.. So I'm wondering what the problem could be? A dying pump maybe a bad ground not making good contact? This is the first time this has happened so any insight on the problem would be appreciated!

Ok so since the relay bypass worked, then the relay should be good, or the bypass trick would not have worked. So you could try looking at the relay connection plug and see if all the electrical terminals are seated in all the way making a good connection with the relay. So you also have a oil pressure switch, which should allow the fuel pumps to run if the relay was not working. So if you had to jump the relay to get the fuel pumps to work, then the oil pressure switch may not be working as well.
