I have a question about the fuel pump on an '87 K5. When I replaced my fuel pump today I used the stiff rubber hose included in the kit w/ hose clamps, not the soft rubber hose that was on the factory pump. Now when I start the truck and turn it off, it sounds like someone is kicking a door stop in my gas tank. The noise does not really bother me, I just don't want to cause premature wear to the pump. However, I don't exactly wan to drop my tank again, but will if its absolutely necessary. So my question is do I need to re-install the old factory hose. If anyone can shed some light on this subject it will greatly be appreciated. I guess next time I'll read the instructions. Thanks
