so my fuel pump in my 89 k5 goes out on me and i put a new on it everything is hooked up exactly the same way it was when i took it out my k5 still wont start what would it be?? i checked the fuses but i didnot know witch one is for that or if there is one any thoughts?
thanx

Have you checked to make sure you're getting spark? Hook a timing light up to one of the plugs and see if it lights up. If not, the most likely culprit is the ignition module located under the distributor cap.

um at first i thought it was that but i put gas down the throttle body and it fires up and runs for a sec and then dies so i dono what it is becuz i know i put everything back the way it was

89 k5

Did you check your fuel pump relay? On my 88 it was on the firewall over by the air conditioner.

thats what it was on my 90. look under the relay cover (black and long 14" or so) there is a fuse in there.
