well i just started my blazer for the frist time about a week ago and it run great but i hear a ticking nose sound like a lifter so i start checking but it not coming from a lifter it sounds like it coming from the fuel pump it a new holley pumps any thouts on why it would be ticking http://members.cox.net/randyk72/

I haven't heard about it happening to a new pump but anything can happen.

What I have heard is that you should pack the motor side of the pump with grease because it gets zero oil in there and often collects moisture and rusts. The grease just keeps the moisture out (and can't hurt for lubrication).

I've seen that only one other time, that is if its the same noise I'm thinking it is. The fuel pump push rod is making the noise.
Which can happen for a few reasons.......
