Fuel return lines

Since I am eliminating my mechanical fuel pump I don't have a provision for the return fuel line. It hasn't been hooked up since I have owned the truck. Will this create a problem for me down the road?

Give more info. Carbed engine or FI? No mech fuel pump, using a pump in the tank? Under the truck? Under hood?

What is regulating the pressure?

Carbed 350, 6 psi electric pump mounted on frame under cab

Then just cap off the unused return line. That will keep contaminants out of the tank and prevent sloshing and coming out of the line.
