I do not know enough about pressure requirements, gallons-per-hour needs, or anything like that to know what fuel sending units and pumps will work with other applications.... What I'm getting at is this: the truck I'm tearing down HAD had an LS1 from a '98 Z28 dropped in it, and the actual tank and drop-in unit in the tank look practically brand new. So, what I'm wondering is, if the guy put in a SU/pump to work with the LS1, will that work with (i.e. no issues whatsoever) a stock non-Vortec TBI.

Will it be too much, will it not be enough, would it work the same, would it be a waste of time?

Does this make sense?

LS1 static fuel pressure 55-60 psi.

TBI running fuel pressure 12-15 psi.

It may run a little rich. You could regulate it down before thr TBI. But to answer your question no it will not work. It will require fab or cause problems.

Isn't that what the fuel pressure regulator does that's already on the Throttle Body?

I see guys running walboro 255 lph pumps on their TBI trucks all the time. As long as the return line is big enough to return all the un-used fuel without building up pressure I can't see it being a problem to run a 60 PSI pump in there.

I'm running a 255 LPH pump (90 PSI pump) on my TBI and i've got it regulated down to 18 PSI.
