Fuel sending unit

Alright, can anyone tell me what sending unit to get? Is it just a craps shoot? Have a '91 Blazer. Already ordered an AC Delco EP386 fuel pump. I seem to be missing the wiring from the sending unit to the connector on the frame before the cross member in front of the tank mount. So figure I should just order the whole drop in sender. I can't find just the wire loom.

so someone yanked it off the sender your saying ? ? ?

and i just run spectra prem stuff .

you just need to know 25 or 31 gal to get the correct one .

Im using a Dorman 692-033. Been working for me in a 31G k5 tank. Spectra would be just as good

Its just two wires on the sending unit harness, Fuel pump power, and fuel level signal. not to hard to figure out which one is which. There is an additional ground wire that goes straight to the frame, make sure its hooked up or the fuel pump will ground through the level sensor and kill it.

The grey wire is 12v to the fuel pump and purple is for the sending unit, ground is any bare metal of course on the frame and just as an FYI you can ground to any bare spot on the tank itself if you don’t have a ground on the pigtail.
Easy way to tell 25 from 31 gallon tank is the 31 gallon tank angle up on the bottom rear, whereas the 25 is more of a rectangle.
