fuel strainer question

I'm trying to find a strainer for an '86 k5 blazer. The one I took out has the fitting on the end like the one below but nothing on the side of it. I found this one on rockauto.com but I don't know if it will work. I've tried Advance Auto Parts and Oreilly's but can find one. Does anyone know where I can go get one or should I order this one.

Nobody here has changed their fuel strainer on an 86 K5? I really need to get this figured out. The one in the picture is like what I need but without the deal on the side. The one in the picture is for a diesel. PLEASE HELP! Thanks!
 
I just changed my fuel pump on the blazer and that strainer came with it. I got it at Napa auto. You might as well change the feul pump wile your in there.
 
Napa only lists the entire sending unit. The website you found and the dealer are probably your best bet.

Last time I had my tank out I removed the strainer, cleaned it really well and put it back in.
 
AHHHHH! So I went to the dealer today and it didn't show a fuel strainer for an '86. WTF? He looked up a strainer for an '85 and said it would work but he didn't have one and didn't have a picture so I didn't order it. If nobody knows where to get one I am going to soak mine in parts cleaner and have to live with the hole in it.
