Fuel tank Question????

I was wondering if anyone knows if the fuel pump on a 87 with t.b.i. is in the gas tank. the reason I ask is I have dual tanks and when on my left tank the truck runs great, but when i switch to the right tank the motor acts likes its running out of fuel, any help would be appreicated.

Pumps are in the tanks, yes.

also it could be a bad switcher valve.

how would i know if the switcher valve is bad??? should i just change the pump and then see how it acts

if the lines arnt to bad just try to by pass the switcher and see if it runs good . or remove output line from sender to switcher valve and install pressure gauge and see what pressure you have. line pressure before regulator should be in the 16-18 psi range.
