I have a quick question for y'all.

For the last few days when I'm driving along, I get a very strong raw fuel smell coming out from my engine compartment, almost like it's leaking out somewhere, but it isn't leaking a drop. If I go to the back and open the gas cap, it lets off a ton of pressure and the smell goes away. It didn't do this before I had my fuel pump replaced by a hack mechanic.

I think the asshat pinched the vent line. Can something like that affect how a truck runs? I've been having issues with how it runs and I'm running out of ideas quickly.
