At minimum you'd need a new sender. I can't see any of the photos, if they still exist.

Just called these guys. Seams like a good operation. The tank will not work with the stock shield guard. I think the guard was a factory GM option. They have custom senders with an optional fuel pump inside the tank.
I think here is a pic of it installed.
