ok well now my problem consists of injector trouble, i can get fuel if i add power through testing, so i know they have the ability to squirt and they squirt well, replaced computer, ignition module in distributer, and a relay checks out. but i have a ground problem. the injectors are not grounding properly so they don't work. everything checks out as mentioned above. problem is from computer to injectors...

so even though i replaced my computer.. is that still bad? love fuel injection until it breaks....

does anybody have a wire diagram of fuel system?

OK, the important thing to remember with the injectors, is that the white and the red wires are hot from the ECM fuse.

The computer grounds the blue and green leads to turn on the injectors. The injectors should have power all the time.

hmmm well when i add power they squirt... but truck service engine is flashing saying i need a ground... um where do those other wires ground to?

Well.....The other wires do not ground, they are hooked to +12. What code are you getting that says you need a ground?

You're not a paying member, so I don't know if this will work, but I'm gonna try.
Its a zipped PDF file of the schematic. If you can get it, examine the injector wires carefully.
The drawing is a little confusing. You might have to trace them out with your finger, because they do not seem to go where you think they do.
If you can't see the drawing, let me know.
I think you can PM me with an E-mail address, and I can send you the file.

I'm wondering if a ground is missing from the computer? It only shows one, and it has to be getting ground, or the check engine light would not come on.
Note, there are two ECM fuses. Make sure neither is blown.

One wire to the injector is 12V with the key on, the other is grounded by the the ECM when the engine is turning over.

Usually check that with a noid light, if the light blinks when cranking the ECM knows the engine is turning over.

If the light doesn't blink, a common cause is the ignition module having failed, as that is what "tells" the ECM the engine is cranking, and that it should be pulsing the injectors.

Since the light blinks, the ECM has to be grounded.

Grounds for the setup are usually to one of the head bolts or back of the block.

If it's spraying fuel when cranking, you have an ignition problem, not fuel delivery.

nope i get fuel, but after TWO BRAND NEW COMPUTERS THAT DIDN'T WORK FROM AUTOZONE, i finally got one from o'ryllies that did!!!! problem solved for now. thanx for yalls help
