I am reorganizing my fuel system and have a question. I have a fuel cell and a remote sump tank/surge tank and I was going to route the fuel return line into the sump tank. The sump tank is gravity fed off of the 32 gallon cell and I was curious about the effects of the pressure from the fuel on the return line in the sump tank. Most systems say the return line pressure is close to 0 with some backpressure from the line itself, in this case the fuel above would exert some pressure against the return feed. I have seen this setup before and wondered if anyone had input?? Sorry for the length.
