Ive been wanting to cut the steel half cab off this blazer for years. Finally found a top and windshield frame in good shape for super cheap. You guys might remember this truck from the cover of the 2009 CK5 calendar in this photo:

I've been thinking about the full convertible conversion too...would love to do it to my 83. I've seen a few donor vehicles for sale lately and really want to do it now.

Samurai, cool...I had one back in the late 80's. It was great for wheeling...ran circles around heavier vehicles in the mud.

one more to prove im artsy too... lol this was a total fluke

Nice...

I've had a full vert windshield hoop laying around for about 4 years... Never got around to doing the conversion and now my Blazer has been cut and rebuilt to a point that it would be useless...

ive got it painted up some now (rattlecan) and the windshield put back in. Ill have to get some pictures here in the next couple days.

Looks good thinking hard about doing mine this summer just keep wondering about the final body work and paint I'm not very good at bondo or fiberglass.

If your good at welding you don't have to be good at bondo:D

I will be doing mine this summer too.

how do you like those tires? how many miles have you put on them? how much tread is left?

I really like them. They have been to hell and back... a few times. Probly around 10k. bought them at 80% or so and they STILL have over .5" of tread on them. they run really true and eliminated a TON of vibration i used to get with super swampers.

hey dirtygoat, want to get rid of that window hoop?

I'm going to a 4x4 swap meet in two weeks and planned on taking it with me along with a few set of swampers, a few set of springs and other misc stuff... If you want more info send me a pm...

Sorry for the hi-jack...
