I'm running a full convertible and want some basic stereo speakers mounted. Don't want to cut my doors.

Thinking wakeboard boat pods mounted to my stock roll bar, down low for the rear. Looks like the kick panel pods would be good for front. Waterproof is a must. I'm not going to run side panels.

Any suggestions or pics? Who makes good kick panel pods?

Thanks in advance

Check out JL Audios marine stuff pretty awesome. Also if your looking at pods check out wetsounds. Kicker also makes marine grade speakers.

yikes! those guys are proud of their stuff!

watch out, some of the marine stuff is more expensive because it's sold and marketed as more of a "novelty".

it is common to use regular car audio labeled equip in boats. to the most part, if you take on water bad enough to screw up your audio gear, you've got MUCH bigger problems to deal with. and even marine stuff isn't 100% water proof.

the thing to look for in using a car speaker in a potentially moist environment is to make sure not to get paper cones. go for the polymineral, etc..
