The rocker boxes on my 75 are shot and letting the windshield frame sag with the top removed. I have searched and looked at sliders but I'm also thinkg of maybe a cage tied into or just bent close enough that a bump stop or something mounted to the cage can suport the windshield frame. What have yall done to stop the sag? Got any pics of it? Would sliders be enough?

The windshield frame sag is the end result of a sag across the door thresholds. Trying to support the windshield frame directly as a solution doesn't sound like a great idea..... you'll just move the problem (cracking, etc) to the lower windshield or cowl area.

To do it right, you're going to need to get some structure between the front cab support mount (in the front footwell) and the mounts further back (Positions 2 & 3)...ideally some sort of ladder frame that connects the outermost rocker area to an inner structure close to the actual frame itself. The stucture would certainly seem like a good starting point as the basis of a set of rock sliders too, since it will help spread the loads at the outer rocker itward to the frame itself.

I think if you replace with sliders it will be alot stronger. Though, if you cage it the strength will definitly help the whole structure of the K5.
I have tube running down just like you explained but no bump stop is really needed. Mine come about 3/8" from the frames.

Agree. Been there done that. I used 3/4 square tubing and rebuilt the rockerboxes following the original shape. Your front body mounts are probably shot too. I replaced them and floor sections also. Big thing is to shore up the body and keep the hardtop in place. Its like a wet noodle. Takes some work!!!!
