Full float 14 bolt drums

Remove the axle nut(s) and related hardware then slide the drum/hub assembly off the spindle.

Also, I highly recommend adjusting the brakes in at the star adjuster. It's a pain, but will make them easier to slide. Especially if they're old and/or worn, the pads wear a groove inside the drum leaving a lip on the outside. (Also watch your fingers on said lip as it can be sharp!)

Anyway, Scott's on it; you need a six-pronged hub socket (also fits Dana 60's, IIRC). Depending on the type of hub nut, you may also need long needle nose pliers to pull a square key out the slot.
