To remove, you need to pop off the chrome dome cover, then remove a C clip that isn't very obvious that holds the slug in place, then that will come out with a spring behind it.

I guess i didnt bang hard enough. I started to remove those covers than thought you know i better find out if thats the way to go so i dont end up doing more damage. Cool!! Thanks for the info.

Usually I pry on them, they shouldn't need too much banging, that will destroy the chrome:D

I am swapping them out for selectable hubs. So i am not worried too much about damage. Although i will be re-installing them on my donor truck so i will be careful not to destroy them too much. Thanks

dont forget if you still have a 203 full time tcase with out conversion kit installed you will need to keep the hubs locked in or it wont drive. :eek1:

Gotcha!! Actually there is no front driveshaft as of yet. The 203 is still out of the truck. The plan is to install a part time kit before i install the Transfer case. Right now i am actually just swapping parts from my donor Blazer. Thanks for the info though:waytogo:

I was swapping sthe hub today and didnt realize how small the lug studs were on these trucks. Do they hold up when 4 wheeling or is there an upgrade i should make?

I wouldn't worry about the wheel studs, you'll break your axle shafts long before those give out. :D

Sweet then I guess my 75 already has it done! I have been driving it around with out the hubs locked for a while. So, it would not move at all with the hubs unlocked? Unless it was in high or low lock though?:o
