Where is everyone find these donor trucks? I've been kicking the idea around so I decided to look around to see what I could find for a donor truck and I can't find anything. I live in Missouri, so it should be hard to find a rusted out truck, and the only 73-75 K5's I could find were to nice and to pricey to do that with. I check the whole state of Missouri on CL and found nothing that was donor worthy. I looked through eBay, not sure if it's because I looked on my phone but it was the same result as CL. I was just curious.

Are you wanting a whole truck to build or a windshield frame / door donor to convert a hard top truck?

I bought the windshield frame for my conversion here and had it shipped.

I will just be converting a hard top so I really just need the parts from it.

Gotcha, once or twice a year a sale ad will turn up here where someone is scrapping a truck and selling the pieces.

There's a patch panel kit for 1st gens, don't remember hearing about one for second gens ....

That's actually what I was getting ready to look for but like you said, I don't remember seeing anything for patch panels for the second gens.
