So i have an issue now when i make hard left and right turns. This comes after i had to replace my rear drive shaft and drive in 4HI for about 15 miles no more at speeds not topping 45mph when it broke and i removed it. Its fixed now and with it back in rwd mode and the hubs free and the t/c in neutral this has been occuring. It doesnt happen when making soft turns (ie highway exits, changing lanes, etc)

It feels like after i turn and straighten out the wheel to drive straight again the front end pops back into place. It does not make a noise but after it does "pop" back into place it drives straight and true like it did before. I put it up in the air and made sure that even with the hubs in the free position and the t /c in neutral the front drive shaft doesnt move and it does not at all.

*Front tires are good 35x12.5x15
*No power steering leaks in the front end
*power steering pump seems to just fine
*all other steering componets are good too
*steering stabilizer is bad and needs to be replaced
*both belts are good and intact

I hope this all helps and some one has a clue as to what it could be

Yes that has crossed my mind and I will put it up again tomorrow and take a look at them.

Have you checked where the steering box mounts to the frame for cracks? Mine is doing this exact same thing so I started checking and that is the first thing I found, cracks in the frame and the steering box is moving around just a lil bit. I also found that the front spring shackle hanger bushings are wasted too. That's where I stopped looking, I know all my steering linkage is good and the stabilizer is good so I know it is one or both of those problems causing this.

Ok so checked my steering box and where it mounts to the frame. Both are rock solid. My suspension is only a few years old but I checked it as well and it too is solid as well. Haven't had a chance yet to get it back in the air maybe today. Thanks to everyone so far who has chimed in very much appreciated

If your steering is good, don't forget to check your spring mounts, shackles, center pins, u-bolt tightness, etc. Whatever you did to break the driveshaft may have broke something else too.

OK, since I have mine apart, here's what I've found. I have the steering box and pitman arm disconnected to do the frame crack repair. So, I started turning the wheels back and forth by hand. It appears that the steering stabilizer is holding things up when it gets about all the way in or out but once it gets closer to the middle it evens out. It feels especially sticky when extended (left turn).

Tonight I may disconnect the stabilizer to be sure it's not sticking ball joints but right now I'm leaning towards a bad steering stabilizer.
