Funky mirrors. They wont stay in place! And I think they are ugly!

Every time the door closes, the mirror moves outward. So they have to be pulled inward every drive. Already tightened them, no help. Thinking about superglue on them, where the post meets the rubber seal. Any ideas? Any solutions to this?

Oh, and they are butt fugly mirrors! Why the hell did Chevy put a picture of my face on every damn mirror that they ever sold!

Which mirrors are they? Several styles were available.

Mine didn't show wear, the posts are just too "slippery" for the clamp mechanism to hold them tight.

I went with rubber, but you need to be careful, you can make the post so tight you can't adjust them. Better to make sure they are still adjustable without damaging the door/riv-nuts the screws thread into, before putting the cover back on.

Yes, you do need to make sure they can still break away if you hit the mirrors on something. It’s a fine line when adjusting them when you use rubber.

New mirrors (and I believe the originals) had a plastic sleeve around the arm, but that wasn’t enough for new mirrors from LMC.
