Has any one installed F-350 shock towers on thier rig? I have some and would like to see some pics etc on how to mount??

As far as i can tell I will have to trim some of the inner wheelwell out to run them, in the flat spot between the stock shock and the brake line.

Any ideas?

thanks -Rob

You may find that cutting them to fit will work out better for placement.

But yeah, seen alot of them being run on our trucks.

i have a set but my fox shocks don't fit them, will have to bend up some hoops

Do you have more pics of what you modified to get the bracket where you have them? I need to do front shocks and think I might go this route

:hack::grind::weld:Modified em to fit and welded them on.

The position their in shown in that picture is basically the same as the stock location only taller, I've since moved them due to tire rub when turning.

Now their pretty much where the factory bump stop used to be.

Here's another variation of the Ford mount on a 1st Gen...

A little more vertical than VT's, but in relatively the same spot.....just before that "bump" in the frame.

I cut the bend off the bottom of the Ford bracket and only used the flat part.

They are a cheap way to get those long travel shocks installed with a minmum of fuss.

I went way vertical with mine and welded some gussetts on the back of the mount and top of the frame, 2 on the back of each. I cut holes in the inner fenders with a hole saw and jig saw. I also notched to give extra room for the steering shaft in case I flexed hard.

And yes they are lined up better now.

Jason4x4 and I have the newer style furd towers installed on our rigs. Ours aren't mounted vertical since we still have A/C.
Maybe he'll catch this thread and post some pics of ours. I have no camera but he does.

Oh I did'ht know there were two generations?? I guess mine are the older boxed style... Thanks for the pics. These are for my burb and I am trying to get a better fide from my front end cause my old shocks blow!
