Fuse Box Question

Happy 4th of July weekend gang. I've been out in the blazing sun wiring up my Sniper EFI and MSD ignition this weekend and have a question on constant power coming from my fuse box. I need a solid 12v power supply from my stock fuse box w/ solid power during ignition on and crank over. Below is the photo of a posting I found online that's the same as mine.

Blue Sea fuse panels, now or later
Keep yours for the blinker and nothing more :haha::waytogo:

Edit: I used the “key on” trigger for a relay to my Blue Sea panel. I run 2 of these, 1 constant and 1 keyed, but they have a version with split power banks also.
 
It will be one of the single slots, if the ignition hot accessory plug exists on that style panel, but they should.

The factory wiring manual is always a good idea to use, and should be used, but you really need a multimeter if you are doing any sort of electrical stuff. Even without the manual you can figure out the right slot for what you are doing, and just as importantly, you'll know if the slot is working properly before taking the time to hook stuff up to it.

Realize those slots are not individually fused, so if you need fuse protection, it will need to be inline.

The ignition power while cranking is circuit #3 on the wiring diagram. Some years/options have a plug in the fuse panel, others don't. So you will need to check your year wiring diagram and compare it to your truck.
 
Get yourself a Holley Power Distribution Module, you won't regret it, everything will wire into it and it wires straight to the battery. I love mine.
 
When I put the ProFlo4 in my '90 I was able to get some connectors that fit the single tap slots in the fuse block. 90 is a bit different than your 84 but same concept. The single square holes are for accessory taps to click in. All the doubles are for fuses. Found my connectors on amazon.
