I have a new complete chassis harness that comes with it's own fuse panel. I can mount it in the stock location above the brake pedal, but am curious if there is a better place? This truck is going to be used for trails and not as a resto build so I don't care about keeping it stock. I'm going to eventually have a Vintage Air AC system so I was thinking the outer firewall on the passenger side would be a good place to mount all the electrical.

Anyone have any other opinions?

Some vehicle I've had in the past had the fuses on the end of the dash facing the door behind a little cover. I've always thought that was a nice convenient place to have a fuse block. I haven't tried to do something like that on a squarebody, but I would think it might be a problem getting the harness to reach certain items.

My crew cab has the DIY4X aluminum dash. I mounted an auxiliary fuse block to it for add-on accessories. It's on the bottom part in the middle with a little access door. It's not a convenient as I would like. I think something an the end near the door would be better.

So this isn't a stock fuse panel? Because separating the bulkhead connector from the block could be a lot of work and if you move the bulkhead you have to redo a lot of the under-hood harness. If the bulkhead and the panel are in different locations, you're running a lot of extra wire between them, so it seems like having them close together would be advantageous.

There's not much wiring left that's worth saving. And I'm also using an LS and was thinking about putting all my electrical components close.
