Fuse question

my doorlock 30 fuse was shot so i pulled it out. it was extremely hot. i put in a new fuse and after using the door locks successfully a couple times it died too. i pulled it out and it too was extremely hot. what can i do about this? can i put in like a 40 or something? i think its getting too much juice, but what do i know??

putting a higher amp fuse will not slove the problem you have a problem some where else in your wiring. If you put a larger fuse in there you might start frying your door lock motors insted of the fuse

alright, what should i look for? where is the most common place for this to happen?

If you know how to use a multimeter you can use that to find shorts or breaks. Otherwise try unplugging the door lock from one dorr and try it and see if it works then the oterh door and start isolating the problem by trial and error
