I have an 1985 K30 Military CUCV M1008 and am adjusting the electrics a little bit. It is a 12v 24v Hybrid electrical system that is a bit higher amp then your common C/K series. My question is... The fuse links at the main terminal block under the hood, mounted on the fire wall in the center of the truck are getting hot and insulation is melting off of them and I do not want to replace them with new fuse links I want to put a thermal breaker pannel in place of them. So what is the amp rating of the fuse links? they are rated by gauge of the wire when you buy new ones but what is the amp rating of them to replace with breakers? I could put an amp meter on it and read the load but would like some input first. Thanks
