I am in the process of installing a mildly built 350 in my cc/dually at the moment, temporary until i get the cash up to build the 454 the way i want which is going to cost about $$$$$$$$$$$ and maybe alittle more $$$$$....

but anyways,,,,,the question,

on the hydroboost setup, i realize i cannot use the brackets from the 454 on this 350 block,,,will this hydroboost/powersteering pump bolt up to a 350 style bracket? or will i have to ditch the hydroboost setup?

never done this type of swapping before, this is why i am asking all the pro/backyard mechanics and some professionals shop guys too :p:

thanks

It should bolt right up if not you can take the rez off and put it on your pump. You have to remove the pulley to change the brackets anyhow. Or you can just remove the rez and install on your pump without removing the pulley. A seal kit is only about $10 to reseal it while it is apart also.

Donno what you mean about triangular style, but every PS pump I've dealt with, 350sbc, 400sbc, 6.2 dizzle, and 454bbc, are interchangeable.

Brackets will be engine-specific, but the pumps will switch.

are you sure, I thought the flexplates had 2 different sets of holes.

Thats what I thouhgt too . th350 and th40 were the same flexplate . Some just had bolts into welded nuts on the converter , and some just had nut and bolts through hole tabs on the converter :dunno:

Hijack on, I like your repair on your taillight paul, if you want the one on my burb it is all yours, of course I need to check to see if it's good first. Hijack off

Well I kept looking online , and all th350 and th400 converters I saw were interchangable into the tranny .

Your flexplate sucks . I have a stack here , maybe one with dual holes is around .

There are flexplates that only have one set of convertor holes. Obviously, you were the unlucky person to have one and need the opposite.

well, you are actually further along than 24 hrs ago, since now you can attach the 2 together, and remember, if you want to work something out on this engine in my burb, let me know.
