Fyffe Garage

Just got keys to my new house yesterday, so this is the garage thread. It’s a 3 car 610 square feet of room to build the 82.

First step before I move everything in is epoxying the floors tonight.

You gotta love the new trend of 3 car garages, although mine lacks the depth i had in my previous house.
Now I have a 20' deep which is barely enough for a car.

Hope its got ac with that triple digit heat you got already!

I hate those stupid short and not wide enough garages they do on most all houses.

Everything they call a 3 car, is barely a 2 car in my opinion.
24x24 is not a 2 car to me. And I've seen 30 wide being called a 3 car. Maybe if you out Yugos lol.

Nice place by the way.... Congratulations :thumb:

Man, you got ripped off. The first hundred inches of snow or so and you won't be able to get to the front door. And your lawn has been replaced by rocks.

But seriously, on the new houses, 3-car is kind of standard, but they really mean "park 2 small cars, never work on them and store your mower and bikes behind the 3rd tiny door".

You don’t have earthquake straps on your water heater. I’m surprised they let you buy the house in that unsafe condition :haha:

How close is it to the overhead door?

It has like a inch to spare, when I built the truck I figured out ride height by pulling the front of the frame with a cherry picker under the garage door and took measurements and put it back.

I always wanted it to fit.

That floor looks great and the truck is literally the cherry on top! Been working with a 12x24 one car for years here and that was an improvement over no garage at the time so, yeah. :D Green with envy!

Having a sheltered shop, where you can lock the door at night, and leave the project til the next time is a huge asset. I worked in the gravel/dirt driveway my first 7 years of automotive ownership. Having a concrete floor garage was an awesome step up when I was 23.
Looks great Ben, congrats!

Up until a few months ago when I stopped it was street work and on the side of a house where I could see half of it. Rock and dirt was the normal for me to build it.

I’m extremely happy
