if you realy wana lift a s-10 series vehicle do your self a huge favor .

solid axle the vehicle . :deal:

I have been fighting with one for over a week now with parts problem / rusted torsion bars had to cut / press out and order new from dealer .

its so dam hard to lift these trucks as there so tight to begin with .

and junk yard hunting for torsion bars sucks . as the crossover parts locator program says there all the same . NOT there is 6 different part # bar's available for them . and ZR2 bars are specific by them self .

just hope this info helps someone else out if you happen to find it in a search .

take it from a guy who has installed prob close to 100 lift kits of 1kind or another over the years. this one has royally kicked my A$$ :angry1:

I see your link and read bds 5" with t-bar relocator kit .

that's what I am doing now for a customer. had some parts quality problems with centerlink . bds took care of it after a little back/forth . also newer rear parts not corrected in the directions but we got that figured out in phone calls back/forth .

looks good .

did you wish solid axle after ?

yea, 5in BDS, t-bar relocation kit, add a leaf in the back, and a 2 in body lift. BDS is a really good company. i had good luck with them.

if you haven't already.. the torsion bar cross member has to be moved about 2" inches back for the relocation. also i had to grind down the centerlink so that the pitman arm bolt would clear the front diff.

i wish i had done an SFA.

ya found out today the relocator kit said 3" back for t-bar crossmember . but in real life its 1.5 for this truck . :angry1:

but it looks so clean with the bar's up high like stock .

ground the diff ear / pitman arm nut & thread stubb down to clear its range of motion. still got good nut and cotterpin hole just barly .

I had thought about lifting my s10, and luckily I haven't. I hear nothing but horror stories about the front end after a lift.

Had to pay some one to do the lower a-arm bushings, idler arms and tie rod ends.
Found out last week the guy that worked on it did not install the cotter pins in the nuts. One idler nut was gone, and the other barely holding on with a few threads.

Hate having other people work on my trucks.

yea. if you are gunna lift an s10.... do an sfa.
i've rebuilt my front end about 4 times since my lift.

They look great lifted, but not enough for me to go through the hassle.
