I had regular old galvanized pipe at the last house I rented for almost 15 years. But I know there is good quality air line plumbing out there. Anyone have any experience with any of the aftermarket stuff out there??? I'm searching around to find out whats out there. Any info is very much appreciated.

There's this badassss blue coated stainless stuff I've been seeing used in shops. You can cut it with standard copper tubing cutters, and the fittings just slip on or something.

Really cool.

I have a buddy that did his with that blue line. It is advertised as for air systems and he paints cars in his garage.

Although he still has a couple of water traps made out of pipe to get the water out, along with several filters. But like I said he paints.

Found this youtube vid. Duratec air line system. Looks pretty awesome.

Still the best is copper pipe. Don't forget to use a drain valve at every hose connection with the valve being the lowest point so you can purge the water out.

Galvys fine, I use it for my air. If you really want clean dry air run it in ACR copper and braze it with a nitrogen purge. If it isn't leaking and broken I wouldn't change it.

My last job was with Atlas Copco, (air compressor company) they had a line of the blue piping you were talking about. theirs was aluminium though and we could bend it with regular conduit benders. Fitting assortment is pretty cool to. Easy as pie to install!
