Paid 50 bucks for it and a stand. its a 5" vice and stand. i bolted it to an old disc brake i had laying around. didnt have one for a long time after the last one walked off

Absolutely.
Just be careful. Looks a bunch like a red version of a Harbor Freight vise. I've broken 2 with nothing more than my body weight on the bar, no cheater bar or anything. (I'm 160 lbs.)

so i got really board and decided the brake caliper was not going to cut it as a base and i had a 454 flywheel laying around. so i took it and using my harbor frieght drill press i drilled 4 holes in the flywheel and made a stand for my new toy. (ran out of bolts, thats why there is only three in the flywheel)

drill press made it so much easier to drill the holes in the flywheel, and will help me finish my winch mounting plate
Find a brake drum from a semi truck. They work rather well.
