All,
I have a GREAT DIY4X rear bumper on my truck. I absolutely love it.

Anyway, I have the gas can holder on the back, and I have two military (got them from the surplus store) can on the back. Here's pictures of that...

I have them locked down (I have a tie down strap as well, and they actually sit flush and flat normally). Anyhow, I am planning a three week road trip, during which time I will be living out of the Suburban. I'd like to replace one of the Military style cans with a Plastic, NEW potable water jug. Does anyone know if they make a water jusg that is the exact size of the military ones? The military ones are VERY snug, and are nice because they are metal, but the Attaching "spout" to pour fuel totally sucks, because it leaks...

Anyone know of any plastic jugs that would work?

Thanks in advance.

Those look about right. Not plastic, but they look like they'd be just new replacements for what I have. Good link!!!

I like those, too. I don't know how standard the size is of a mil spec can is, but they look like the same size to me.

I was at Bass Pro Shop the other day, and in the boat section they have Water cans like those in blue plastic.

Check a few surplus stores. I have been in the Army for 11+ years and have never used a metal fuel or water can. All of ours are plastic and the same size as the old metal ones

My dad has a set of those for diesel and water, and they are the same size as the older metal cans he had. But, because the plastic is thicker, it seems like they were slightly thicker than the metal ones. This could mean a very tight fit based on how tight it looks like they are in your pics.
