Is there anything out there that locks and isn't a total piece of crap? I've broke two of the Stant ones now, the first when it froze and this current one doesn't lock at all now.

Ditto on stant being crap. Auto zone has replaced mine twice. Now I don't even lock it. GM back in the 80's had one that used a D shaped magnet to unlock it if you find a better locking one let me know.

There is an article over at thedieselpage.com that recommends GM part #15070014. I haven't bought one yet, hopefully this weekend.

I've been using a stant for several yrs with no problems. Thanks alot guys, now watch i'm going to try and unlock it and it will probably fail.

Mine did, but good news a hard whap with hammer took the plastic top off and then it just took pliers to turn the bottom part out.
