Gas gauge?

I just installed a tach cluster in my Jimmy and everything seemed all good. Then when I turned my lights on and my gas gauge went to empty. As soon as I turn off the lights, it goes back to where it should be. Anyone ever experience this?

Every year is a little different on the wires. You need to know what year the tach cluster is from and then repin the plug to be correct.

I did that.


Actually, does anyone have a schematic for a 1975? The old gauge won't work either and they both go to empty only when the cluster back lighting is powered on.

Got gas? If you repinned, check your work again just to be sure.

I got it.....it was a ground. Found a schematic last night and got up this morning and took care of it.
