I have 1977 blazer 350,4x4 turbohydromatic 350,3/4 ton drivetrain.6 inch suspension lift,3 inch bodylift and 36 super swamper tsl.Just curious on what kind of gas mileage i will get.I think i want to convert to the sm465 i always like driving stick better.What do you guys think.

Need to know what gearing, and even then it's anyones guess. The biggest thing is most people never have their speedo re-calibrated so if you go by the odometer it will be inaccurate info once a gear or tire change has been made.

just for comparisions sake, my blazer got 10 stock (its a 73 with a full time 203) put 35s on it, still 10. lifted it with 38s and 4.10 gears, still 10. Put one tons in it and 39.5s on it. It went down to 9 but I could still get 10 if i kept it under 65

Yeah though we need to know what gearing you have to really help you out

I will say that I get 14 to 15 mpg in my '90 'Burb. But I don't drive much over 65 mph, ever...the darn thing vibrates too much!

If you have it, drive it a while and tell us. :doah:

My 82 K5, with a "modified" vortec 350HO on 1 tons and 37s, sm465 is averaging 4.8mpg.

:eek1::eek1:

My '88 With tbi 350 and 465 and 3.08 gears could pull off at least 15 mpg all the time with 30" tires...

Now the motor has been warmed up a little, it's lifted and wearing 35s and has 3.73 gears. I might be able to pull off 12mpg on the highway, but I don't have cruise control, and it's too hard to keep it at 65mph. If my foot twitches I'm at 80.
If the skinny pedal gets abused I'm pretty sure single digits are obtainable.:D
