The gas pedal on my 87 k5 is soo freakin stiff. if your weak in the legs you seriously can't drive my truck for a long time or you get to tired. What would be causing it to be so stiff when you press down on it?? Help! thanks /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Check the throttle return spring. Someone may have have moved one end further away to stiffen it up, or put a stiffer spring on at some point.

Drivers side of the throttle body, you'll see the linkage arm that the throttle cable attaches to. There should be a spring there too...and the spring makes the throttle 'return' when you let off the gas.

Do TBI engines have a carb like return spring? I've always just thought they use the one on the throttle shaft.
