gas pedal??

Is there any way to raise the gas pedal up? I want to do this because my floor mats will not let me go all the way down without pushing hard to get up to speed.. The reason I still have my floor mats in is that i got new carpet about a week ago and i am trying to keep it clean. Or i would have just took them out. Also a day after i got my truck back from getting carpet, by windsheild seal starts leaking. what luck??

I had an issue with not getting maximum cable pull on my pedel and I was able to pull the cable where it hooks to the pedel and then by using a ziptie secured the cable as tight as I could with out moving the throttle too much the re-adjusted my idle speed and now my foot is very responsive and I get WOT when I floor it.
Good luck, you may also want to see if you can bend the pedel bar??
