Gas Prices

$1.99 here. That's what the oil companies want. They run the price waaaaaay up so everyone has sticker shock. Then they roll it back to about $1.75- $2.00 and everyone is relieved that it's not $2.50!! $1.50 is still waaaaaaaay to high. And they wonder why people are interested in hybrids???????? I have a feeling this summer will be ugly. We might see prices b/t $2.50-$3.00. Sucks when it costs $60 to fill up the K5. Glad it's not my DD.

i paid $1.99 yesterday in north raleigh NC. i hate this!! my blazer gets 8mpg and its my dd. maybe its the 3.73's and 36s thats killing my mileage....:doah:

This price sucks

As of last night the price of regular in Northwestern Ontario was...

A WHOPPING 96.2/litre

I don't even want to know what that converts to in US.gallons , I would probably want to puke:screwy:

gas pains.....

Its about 2.05 a gallon as of last friday when I filled up--I put in some gas thursday afternoon in my other truck for 1.99 a gallon,a half hour later they were up on the ladder changing the sign to 2.05!:eek1: --must have been getting ready for the weekend...Diesel is 2.25 a gallon and climbing...looks like the better fuel mileage my 6.2 gets will be offset by the price of the fuel---looks like I'll be driving a 1995 ford contour that was presented to me at a concert saturday night:D --if it gets much worse,I might be riding a bicycle again.--I'm going to sell my 79 C10,much as I hate to,and either sell or scrap my 74 K20 and 81 G10 van--cant afford to drive them anymore....:frown1: I'm keeping the 82 K20 diesel to plow the driveway and get firewood,I guess 1 truck will have to be enough from now on--no such thing as a "pleasure vehicle" anymore..

I bet more people than ever will buy motorcycles this summer--and I bet a lot of them get killed on them too---and I wont be getting much sleep thanks to all the harleys with straight pipes running around--last summer was the pits as far as noise, and this year will likely be even worse..--I heard prices will hit 3 bucks a gallon by july in the northeast...:frown1:

I filled up on Sunday and it was $2.45 for 89 in San Jose, CA. It has been up to $2.75. It has only been down to $2.05 once in the last 3 years. It sucks when you hand over $60 at the station on you do not get any change. If anyone pays less than $2.15 you have it good.

It's $2.08 at the gas stations for 85.5 (stupid high eleveation)

I paid $2.02 at Costco over the weekend.

Premium's about $0.20 higher at either place

$2.02 At Kum and Go in Emmetsburg, Iowa, of course that is close enough to the Iowa great lakes that they price gouge ya, I havent been to Fuelmart here in Early yet But my guess is they are about $1.96 they are usually 5-10 cent cheaper.

$.92/litre here in Saskatoon I think. Might have to find a cheap little honda this summer and turn the blazer into an offroad friendly vehicle.

does anyone here no for a fact what different factors are causing the high prices? also is there anyway they'll go down?

The only thing I can think of is that it's because it involves: Trillions of dollars, governments from many countries, and having every citizen of every developed country by the balls.
