Gas Prices!

Texan here.. And here's what I think of George Jr.. Bush that is !!
He has done more things for this State in such a short time. Crime is down, Education scores are up.. Way Up !! In Texas. Unemployment is at an all time low.. don't know the exact figure.. but I think it's like .2% un-employed.
Everyone I talk to say it'll be a shame if he get's elected.. since we'll lose a great Governor. But Rick Perry seems like a great guy also.
And all the people I have talked to say the same thing here.. "Don't Blame me, I Voted for Bush" during the last election. I have not met one person that voted for "Clinton/Whore" (good one talldog).
Bush/Cheney all the way for many reasons..
If you don't vote.. You don't have the right to Bitch and moan of the current situation.

It's better to have it and not need it. Than to need it and not have it !
 
Actually, IMHO I really doubt who we vote for will change gas prices that much. They are probably just campaign promises. I am only 17, but if I was 18 I would definately be voting for Bush, just because he is a lot better. Just my $.02

Well AJM, since you appear to be a thinking man,I wonder if thought that sinister media conspiracy, run "red Dan Rather" all by yourself, or if you had help?Hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe there's a reason Rush and company aren't on top.Last time I checked, the president had to win an election to get his job. Could there be a reason he's not running the show? As for the disaster thing, I was refering to man made disasters! And if you think piping Alaska is going to solve or little oil problem, ask the boys in oklahoma why they shut their wells off when oil was cheap, then fired them back up when prices went back up! And as for Saddam, wasn't it George the 1st who left him in power? And forgive me if I dissagree with you on the oil industry thing, but up here in northern Ca, we have one of those "eco freindly refineries" that is constantly being shut down because of explosions, or toxic... whoops, I forgot, those chemical leaks are good for you! They just sound those little sirens to let everyone know there out there for us to soak in.And last time I walked on the beach of that great home state Bushes, I had to have shoes on to keep the oil off of my feet.Oh yeah, I didn't even have to go 4wheelin' there to see it. And I do care about those other places too. And as for Mr. bush and his running mate, don't take everything they tell you to heart. And if they both care so much about the domestic oil issue, then why did Mr. Cheney vote against drilling for oil in his home state? Why don't you ask him where he's going to drill, if it ain't going to be in his back yard. Just a little something for a thinking man such as yourself to think about. As for me, I'm going to watch a little "leftist" news now.
 
Do you really think bush cares about your petty lives ?Or Gore for that matter the only thing they care about is their agenda bush is an oil man!He is making millions in profit along with most of the polititions, do you think someone making 150,000$ a year or more is hurting because of the gas prices?why give you a tax cut when i can raise taxes and get kick backs Clinton is going to be set when he leaves office.
 
well, the reason why the US does not use its own oil, because it costs too much to get at it. i have heard that it costs the US something like $11/barrel to produce. here in saudi it costs us about $2-3/barrel. the difference is we dont have to pump it out, it just comes out by itself. so you can see when it dropped down to $7/barrel, we didnt lose money but the US and the rest of the world did. we have tried to reduce the price of oil but producing an extra 700,000 barrels a day, but it only helped a little.

also, we do not sell the US gasoline, we sell refined crude. it is your refineries that refine it further down to gasoline. i have heard that your price/gallon of gasoline is about 70% tax. that is something that oil producers have nothing to do with. you guys in the US really need to get on your governments ass. the other producers in OPEC all comply to the same laws.

i know in the posts above, nobody has really bad mouthed any of the OPEC countries, but you have to understand that alot of these countries rely on oil as the main income. for us in saudi it is 89%of our income, so you realize or should realize how important the price oil is to us. alot of people blame OPEC for the price of oil, and say how it is unfair. but remember there are things that we import at ridiculous prices and cost nothing in the countries that they are made.

the way i see it, VOTE FOR BUSH!!! he is the best of two evils. if i were to be a US national, then i would probably be a republican. and besides they are raising gasoline prices here too!!!!!!

1.37 here in TN and about the same in KY for the weak. I agree with voting for Bush. He was right in my opinion when he sai this administration has had its chance these last 7 years. Time for a change.

I wonder if we could get all the people together and do what the truckers are doing in Europe...BLOCKADE. Think if we just got a mere 100 per town to do this...we would probably get more and we could get truckers in on it too since they are eating it too!!! I know where the tankers get filled in my area....do you? Also did ya happen to notice that the tankers that some people pay alot more is the same thing that is pumped at the lower priced station? It just comes with a different name. We the People can stop this. BLOCKADE and let em have it. What they gonna do? Arresst 30,000+ people? Don't think so....

I'min So. Cal. and just filled up about two hours ago-$1.77 for 89 oc. 27.346 gals cost me $48.65. OOOOOOOOCCCHHHHH!!!!
