Hello,
A couple of things. I found a large hole that seems to have been repaired (poorly) in my gas tank. Is this serious or common? Do I need to plan on replacing the tank soon?

Also, the dimensions of the tank are: 11.5" deep x 15" wide x 27" long

How many gallons do you think it should hold? I have only been brave enough to put in 17 gallons...

Do you see any other issues with it that I should be concerned about?

Pretty typical first gen tank. Mine wasnt much different, except yours appears to have had a leak. If the epoxy is holding up, it might be ok. Itll just be fragile in that area.

There arent any exact replacement gas tanks anymore, but metal replacement tanks are available that require a tiny bit of tweaking.

Tank should be around 20 gallons. I currently have a tank that holds around 34gallons and IMO it hangs waaaay to low. But sure is nice on longer trips.
