Gas tank problems

I just got done with my install of my shackle flip on my 88 K5 when i noticed a small drip from one of my lines that goes into my tank. I checked to see if it was tight. It was... My question is: Do i need to intall some type of plumbers tape to the threads before installing the lines? This is my daily driver so your help is REALLY needed.

There should be O-rings on the tubes. No sealant on threads. You may have to replace the O-rings.

Ya I had that problem up behind the Tbi in my 87 replaced the little orange o-rings and it was fine. If the trheads are hard to thread they may be a little striped. In this case put 2 or so wraps around the threads of tefflon tape and thread carfully. teff tape can be found at any auto parts or hardware store.

Thanks guys.. it ended up being the hose itself... right at the fitting.
