Gas Tank Questions

I have and 86 3/4 ton chevy longbox 4" Rancho Spring Lift(no blocks), and 3" body lift I need to know if a suburban gas tank( year 1986) <i think its possibly 40 gallons> will fit between the fram rails in the rear and if i have to cut the box out to fit it? Any pics or info on this would be appreciated

I know they won't fit in a blazer so i'm thinking they won't fit into your truck either since behind the axle is the same if i'm not mistaken.

I can't see how they would be the same as a blazer, the longbox trucks are surely closer to suburban length. I have one too and was looking at the same swap. If I get a chance in a junkyard, I'll post what I find.
